How to Root Samsung Galaxy Luna SM-S120VL
There are several ways to root any device: with PC, without PC, using TWRP Recovery, and with Odin. This post will root the Galaxy Luna SM-S120VL model using a Windows computer and Odin. Our method is compatible with all Windows versions. Let’s gather the above tools and drivers and then proceed to the steps below.
Step 1: Before starting the rooting process, you need to connect the device to the PC. So you have to download the Samsung USB driver and install it on your Windows PC. However, if you have already installed it on your PC, then you can skip this step.
Step 2: After successfully download and install the USB driver, you should get the root file. So download the root file for Galaxy Luna and extract the content of this folder. After extracting the content, you will see an image.tar.md5 file.
Step 3: Go to the “Settings” option and navigate to the ‘About Phone” option.
Step 4: Then click on the “Build Number” 6-8 times to enable the developer option.
Step 5: Now, navigate to the “Settings” option and select the ‘Developer Options.”
Step 6: Then click on the “OEM Unlocking” check box, and click on the “Enable” button.
Step 7: Now, click on the ‘Delete All” option.
Step 8: In this phase, “Switch Off” the Galaxy tablet and boot the device into download mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down, Home, and Power button at the same time for 6-9 seconds until download mode is activated.

Step 11: When your computer connects to the Galaxy Tab, the Odin will automatically detect and recognize your Samsung Tablet and show the “Added” messages in the log area.
Step 12: Now, click on the AP option from the Odin dashboard’s right side and locate the image.tar.md5 file from the extracted root folder.
Step 13: After selecting the file, click on the ‘Start” button to begin the flashing process.
Step 14: It will take no more than one minute to complete the rooting process. After completing the rooting successfully, a green box will appear with the “PASS!” option. In the meantime, your Tablet will restart automatically.
Step 15: If you see the green box with the pass option, you can disconnect the tablet from your computer.
Step 16: If you are uncertain about the rooting, you can verify the rooting status. To do that, go to your tablet’s home option and find out the “SuperSU Root” application. If you see this app on your application menu, that means your device is rooted successfully.
Step 17: Also, you can use the Root Checker app to check the rooted status.
If both apps state that the Galaxy Luna SM-S120VL is rooted, you must successfully root the device.
